He's Here!

Baby CP was born on June 7, 2011 at 6:18pm at St. Luke's hospital here in San Francisco.  He weighed 7 lb and 15 oz and was 20.5" tall.  Because my water broke early, I had to be induced.  Active labor lasted about 26 hours.  Pretty much all of labor was kind of horrible, but the pushing (2 hours) was the worst.  The use of forceps was threatened but Baby CP decided that was no way to enter the world...so Baby CP decided it was his last chance to come out on his own.  Nurses yelled for the doctor to re-enter the room to catch the baby just minutes after he stepped out to prepare the forceps.
